Your config file was probably outdated. Normally, if you're on line when
satellite parameters are updated by Hughes, you get a download and you're
not even aware of it, but if you're off line for a period of time and miss
the new parameters, you need to update the config file manually which is
what you did. Sounds like now you just need to go all the way through
registration-
