Hughes has changed a lot of parameters on many of their transponders in
recent months. If the parameters you're looking for are not what's coming
from the satellite, your modem won't recognize the signal. In that case, the
only thing you'll see on the signal strength bar is for all intents and
purposes, just noise. any signal under 31.
