[RVInternetBySatellite] Re: cannot read signal strength

 

So, now I know that I need to regularly update the modem config file. Funny, I don't think that I have done it but maybe once in 6 years for my Motosat based system. I think that I will just set myself up a reminder for every couple of months. Then I can remind my brother with the tripod system. Still, this is our first problem in 2 years of houseboating and setting the system up on the beach. Life is tough. Thanks for the help guys.

> That is correct, but always assumes that you are pointing at an active transponder. For example if you had a config file that was even two weeks old and chose 117/990 you would not have gotten a signal. Terry's latest posted one is 7/16/09, and it correctly has 117/981 listed.
