The saga continues. This am, still had 3 lights, ss 56, can't get ACP
test to load. Went out to Radio Shack to buy new cables. Replaced Tx
cable & was able to go through Reg-Inst, passed ACP 62, got as far as
San-Pin registration screen & then it froze. Wouldn't reconnect to web
page. At that exact same time, my email program d/l'd new emails. So I
was online at one point. Had 4 lights (no sys light). Replaced Rx
cable, 4 lights.
Situation now: have no power to modem. If I disconnect Tx cable power &
LAN lights go on. Attach Tx cable, no lights. (This happened yesterday &
after letting modem "rest", reattached old cables & got a receive light
& signal 57).
Bill: Could not find 117 (my original sat) at all as I'm now about as
far north & west you can go & still be in continental USA...Blaine, WA.
That's why I switched to 83 about 2 weeks ago. 83 was the only sat &
1390 the only transponder we could get a signal on at that time.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
