Re: [RVInternetBySatellite] Re: Satellite Advice Huges vs Starbrand

Bob, my recent experience when my account was mistakenly shut down and I had
been using a DW7000s. I had been subscribed before suspension directly with
Hughes. They would willingly give me a new HN7000s for a year commitment. I
presume they still allow a six month suspension.

I got around this by leasing a modem via a local installer.

Like the author of this thread I am looking into business use (futures
trading) of a system. Reliability, especially in "boondocking" location, is
the most important consideration. What I haven't learned on this thread is
will the Starband work with an automatic setup (such as datastorm etc)
system.

Reading the forum it also appears that Hughes won't allow used systems to be
activated for a new customer unless one purchases the latest version of the
7000 modem. Is this correct. Bob
